Diptheria+Tetanus+Whooping Cough Vaccine for Pregnant Women

The Diptheria+Tetanus+Whooping Cough combo vaccine is not only safe and recommended for pregnant women, but the Western Australian government provides them for pregnant women for FREE.

This vaccine needs a booster about every 10 years, so if it's been 10 years or more (or you just can't remember when you last had one), ask your Doctor about your suitability for one at your next check up!

It's also important for anyone else planned to be in frequent contact with the newborn baby (other parent, grandparents, aunts, uncles, siblings, etc.) to have their DTPa vaccine too.

Too often little people get Whooping Cough from us big people.

When Can I Get My Covid Vaccine?

The Health Department has set up a wedsite where you can work out when you are eligible for the Covid-19 vaccine according to the roll-out schedule.

Visit

https://covid-vaccine.healthdirect.gov.au/eligibility

to check when you can have your first Covid-19 vaccine.

And remember: 2 doses are recommended for adequate protection, and the Astra-Zeneca vaccine doses should be 12 weeks apart.

Flu Shots & Covid Vaccines

Wanting to get the Covid-19 and the influenza vaccine for protection for the upcoming colder months and " 'flu season "?

Great idea!

Protect yourself and those around you.

Keep in mind that the World Health Organisation (WHO) and Health Department recommendations state that these vaccines are required to be given 14 days apart, so you won't be able to get them on the same day.
