Why Use Immunisation Records Management?

"I can get this information from my GP, Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) or Medicare. Why would I use this service?"

That's true, but there are some very important reasons why the services provided by

Problem 1:   Records all over the place

Most people change GP quite a few times during their life and your GP only has access to the records of the vaccines their clinic has given you or that you have in hand.  They can access AIR but that is assuming that your AIR record is complete to begin with.

Our Solution: At IRM we have access to a miriad of vaccination record resources not available to the general public and many GP clinics, so will have a better chance of finding elusive records.

Problem 2:  Time and Accuracy

The job of sorting through, translating, collating and simplifying your vaccine records in a GP setting will fall to already overworked and understaffed nurses.  (We have it on good authority from our nurse that it's NOT a favourite job amongst clinic nurses!) They will do a great job - as far as their access to information, time availability and patient load will allow.  But these limitations could lead to errors and significant delays. And many simply will not take on records that are not in English.

Our Solution: At IRM we are focused solely on converting your confusing and incomplete pile of cards and slips of paper into an easy to understand single record. And we are happy to work with records that are not in english.

Problem 3:  Eligibility

Records requested from AIR or Medicare will only include those vaccines already recorded on your AIR record.  If you do not have a medicare card, had your vaccines overseas, or only have written records of your vaccinations, these will not be on your AIR record (if you have an AIR record at all). These records will also take "at least 28 days" to be processed and sent to you (resource: AIR recorded phone answering service).

Our Solution: At IRM we are able to create and complete AIR records even if you don't have a Medicare card, and if your records were given overseas (as long as you can provide us with those records - unfortunately we do not have access to overseas databases).

And we will start work on your records immediately upon receiving them from you, and strive to have your report email completed within 10 business days.
